Having thick, fine hair can be a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, you’ve got all this luscious volume that many people envy, and it can hold a style like a champ. Brushing can be both your best friend and worst enemy; you’ll need a sturdy brush to detangle, but it’s a delicate dance to avoid breaking those fragile strands. Products can weigh it down or make it greasy faster than you can say “bad hair day.”
The first time I bought amika: plus size I was hugely influenced by the packaging. I think the illustration on the bottle is so pretty and it looks great on my bathroom counter!
However, from the first time I used it I was hooked. I have chin length thick, fine, 1B blond hair which left to its own devices just plasters itself to my scalp. With this mousse, however, I get bouncy volume.
I put a lime-sized amount in my hair and blow it dry upside-down. When I flip it back up I look deranged! But after I brush it, my hair settles down into sleek volume.
