On gloomy rainy days there is nothing that can get me to put myself under an equally gloomy black umbrella. That’s just a recipe for depression for me. So I searched for colorful umbrellas and many years ago found these.
I’ve had rainbow umbrellas since my kids were little, and every few years they need replacing. This current version is my favorite.
And to go under it, I really like this raincoat I found at REI.
It’s very lightweight and perfect for California winters (and falls and springs) and with all the rain we’ve been getting lately, I’ve been putting it to good use.
Put this umbrella and raincoat together and you have my recipe for a much less gloomy rainy season. Now if I could just get light-up sunglasses I’d be all set…
